Jai Shree Ram and welcome to a new blog of mine as we all know Dusshera is around the corner the festival marks the victory of good over evil when the lord Shree Ram kills evil Ravan. It will also find interesting to you that the word ‘Dusshera” comes from two words Dus means Ten, as Ravan has Ten Hera means Defeat.
Accept that the day also marks the end of the nine-day celebration of Navratri and it also marks the beginning of Diwali both these have a gap of 20 days as it took 20 days to return to Ayodhaya after defeating the mighty evil Ravan.
The day is celebrated all over the country carrying the statues of Durga. Saraswati and Ganesh and if we are talking about the festival so it is incomplete without the Ramlila which is a stage depiction of Lord Ram’s life that is celebrated all over the country in a grand style with crackers as there is a belief
Looking at the burning Ravan finishes evilness within us and people also believe Ravan is not only known for evilness but also for his sharp and Intelligent mind it was his ego that cause his death as Ravan was believed to be a complex being who is also credited for creating the foundation for an integral part of our culture like Ayurveda apart from this he a great warrior and politician.
Apart from that his ten heads symbolize the Six shastras and Four Vedas apart from that, he was one of the biggest devotees of Lord Shiva it was arrogance that was the main cause of his death.
According to Ram Good and evil are everything in this materialistic world the only thing that is important is we should be able to control our senses
Just like in this case Sita was an object for Ravana. Control by lust he uses his anger and strength to control her but could not succeed due to which he grew to anger that ended as a result of Ravan’s death since then we got this lovely festival Dusshera
The festival is celebrated all over the country in different styles and ways at places like Delhi where a big celebration is organized at Ramlila Ground not only in the capital every part of the country has its own way of celebrating once again a happy Dusshera to all Candlemonk Friends till than Keep Reading Keep Supporting
