Hello friends, I am back with a new blog as we all know it’s Janmashtami all over the country. So first of all a very Happy Janmashtami all my Candlemonk friends. 

May Lord Krishna bless everyone with a long and healthy life celebrated as the birth of Lord Krishna son of Devki and Vasudev the day has great importance in our culture. 

According to the beliefs.  Shri Krishna was born in an era when freedom was denied and evil was everywhere on the earth and even his uncle(mama) was a thread for his life when knowing that Krishna was the eighth child of Devaki Kansa made several unsuccessful attempts to kill him. He sent demons like Aghasura, Bakasuura, Kaliye and Putana but failed  every time. Kansa also made an attempt of killing him with a mad elephant but like the earlier attempts he only got failures and after sometime  

The prediction came true and the evil Kansa was killed by the lord. Since he defeated such a big evil the festival also marks a victory of good over evil since the day is celebrated with happiness and joy in all parts of the country the temples are decorated with lights and flowers. Many people take a break from food and fast all day and worship the Lord by singing songs and aarti
Bhajans and Kirtan are organized at the temples even many schools organized special functions for children to

Enjoy the festival and one of the most important parts of the festival Dahi Handi takes place in several parts of the country especially places like Maharashtra which is a kind of competitive and entertainment event that includes a clay pot(Matki) filled with Yogurt (Dahi), butter and milk base food at a tall height and a team of young boys makes a human pyramid as they do so. People surround them with loud music played. The boys who made the attempt is known as Govinda which is also one of the names of Lord Krishna and their group is known as mandals this event of Dahi Handi is one of the main highlights of the festival. The kind of enthusiasm people show while participating in this makes the celebration of the festival more enjoyable so that all of me in this blog once again a very Happy Janmashtami to everyone hope this Janmashtami will do wonders for everyone till than
