Kaathu Vakkula Rendu Kadhal Movie Review

Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, directed by Vignesh Shivn, is one of those romantic comedies that you'll probably love if you don't take it too seriously. It's a pleasant comedy about two women dating at the same time in order to appear hip, and it works as long as you don't think too hard about what the movie is trying to normalise. If the film's central notion doesn't annoy you, you're looking for a lighthearted entertainer with great support from Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who make this work with her light presence on screen.

Rambo is played by Vijay Sethupathi, who was born into a family that believes they will die if they marry. Rambo's father passes away on the day of his birth. Rambo believes he is the world's most unhappy person since he grew up with this tragedy. As a child, he believes he is so unfortunate that if he goes too close to his sick mother, he will kill her. As a result, he quits his community and tries to stay as far away from his mother as possible. He keeps in touch with his aunt on a regular basis to check on her health.

Rambo meets Kanmani and Khatija several years later and falls in love with both of them. When both Kanmani and Khatija discover that they are duplicates, all hell breaks loose, and the rest of the story revolves around the decision they make together.

Vignesh Shivn is known for his bizarre storytelling, and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which stars Vijay Sethupathi in one of his most amusing roles in recent memory, is no exception. There's a lot of terrific humour in it, as well as performances that make you want to root for the characters.

The writing department is struggling, particularly when it comes to two ladies banding together to heal a man and his issues. Regardless of the comedic portrayal, it is problematic when the film expects the viewer to empathise with a hero who need the assistance of two ladies to solve his difficulties since he grew up with a lot of insecurity. The film might have worked better if there had been more sensitivity in dealing with a love triangle in which ladies must go through a lot of emotional turmoil to convince the hero that what he is doing is wrong.

Even yet, decent humour and Anirudh's fantastic music redeem the film. Vijay Sethupathi is at his finest on film, and the trio of Nayanthara, Samantha, and Vijay Sethupathi creates some amazing moments. After the intermission, the picture drags a little, but it eventually makes up for the weak plot.
