Lucknow as we all know the city of Nawabs is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. And being a capital this city has it's variant to offer. I had been to Lucknow in 2019. I have some friends from Lucknow so I decided to see the place. I decided to go to the city by train. Expecting to reach the station by 11PM, I reached Lucknow at 1A.M. Thank God I had a friend who was there waiting to pick me up. I stayed at the friend's house. Next day we went to Ameenabad for some shopping. The kurtas, the footwears and almost every item was available there at a very affordable price. That day we also had Tunday Kebab. Mesmerized with the cuisine I decided to explore the city more. But the shopping was really tiring so we decided to head back home. Next day we went to zoo though after lockdown I have started feeling bad for the animals that are kept in the zoo. But before that I was really a fan of going to zoos and watching animals.
I got clicked as many photographs as possible to keep them as memories. After zoo we went To Bara Imambara and Rumi Darwaza. Often at such historic places I get so enchanted. The facts, the customs, the traditions, the architecture of that times gets me so caught up that I keep thinking about them for days.
The next day we went to Ambedkar Memorial Park. And Oh My God! Lucknow is full of wonders. The magnificent statues of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Mayawati and elephants took my breath away. At that point I was so lost that I started thinking of myself as I am in heaven. I got clicked some crazy photos too. In that scorching heat I was dancing to the tunes of “Suno na Sangemarmar”. (If I get very excited then I start thinking of myself as a heroine) Wearing a pretty suit just gave me full heroine vibes.
And that time I was so much in love with myself, and my surroundings that I was least bothered about the people that were watching me and about my friends too who were busy finding some shade to sit. Then happily we went back home and with so many memories and photographs I packed my bag and returned to Delhi the next day. Though I want to visit the city again but only after India gets covid free. Just for my amusement I would never endanger other's lives.
