Today I am here with the recipe of Mysore pak it is very easy to make this. You just have to be careful with the timings that I mention you can make this easy and tasty recipe at home itself.
So without any delay lets know how to make this Mysore pak in ghee.
Ingredients :
Gram flour - 1 cup
Ghee - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 to 1 cup
Salt - a pinch
Water - 1/2 cup
Method :
Take one cup of gram flour (besan flour) and roast it on medium flame for 5 minutes. Make sure that it doesn't get burnt, keep stirring it often. Sieve the 1 cup gram flour. Make sure to use the same cup to measure all the ingredients. For one cup of gram flour we need 1 cup of ghee. Take a saucepan and slightly heat the ghee, do not over heat. Pour 1/2 cup of the heated ghee to the gram flour mix well. Make sure to mash and break the lumps that you see.
Take a kadai and add 3/4th cup sugar(This is medium sweet, if you want it very sweet add 1 cup of sugar). Add 1/2 cup of plain water to it. Now heat this on medium flame and boil till it reaches one string consistency.
Apply ghee all over the bowl and place a parchment paper inside. Even if you don't have parchment paper it's ok. Just apply ghee.
It will take 4-5 minutes for the sugar to become one string consistency. Add a pinch of salt. Now add the gram flour ghee mix into the sugar syrup. Keep the flame to low to medium. After 1 min, add little by little of the remaining ghee to it. Don't forget to stir continuosly. It will become thicker( 5 minutes of cooking in low to medium flame). Keep stirring even after turning of the heat. Since it is soft Mysore pak, you don't have to cook it for long.
Then pour it to the greased bowl. Let it cool. After 30 minutes we can slice it as per your wish. Serve it.
It not tricky at all and easy too. You just have to note the time and temperature I mentioned.
All of you do try it out. If you liked our recipe, do share it with your near and dear ones.
