Kathmandu connection
No one can forget the 1993 Mumbai bombings and the genocide. In the aftermath of those attacks, the director attempted to tell the link to the ‘Kathmandu connection’ in six episodes, taking into account some of the events that came out in the investigation. Three main events appear to be crucial in this investigation. One of them is Investigation Officer Murder. The second was the kidnapping of a hotel owner and the third is Threatening Calls to a Female Journalist The 'Kathmandu Connection' series is about finding the connection between these three incidents to the Nepalese capital 'Kathmandu'.
As the owner of several hotels is kidnapped, samardh Koushik who is a police officer starts investigating along with his associate Mishra(Anurag Arora).
They are trying to find the gangster behind the kidnapping. His companion on the other hand
CBI officer Ritesh Agarwal (Gopal Dutt) enters the fray to unravel the mystery behind the murder. On the other hand, Shivani Bhatnagar (Aksha Sunny), a popular channel global news prime time news anchor, gets blank calls from a stranger. The casino in Kathmandu is associated with these three different events. It is running by Sunny (Anshuman Pushkar). Who is a follower of Dawood Ibrahim? Where did the police officers investigating these cases for evidence? What kind of resistance did you face?. However, some of the characters in this sequence appear to be similar to the characters in the previous web series. For example, the role of a police officer played by Amit Sial is reminiscent of RAW agent Himmat Singh played by 'Special OPS' KK Menon. Somehow it feels like the same character is doing it in disguise. In that If the attack is on Parliament, in this the attack is on Mumbai is shown.
Similarly, there are close resemblances to Srikanth Tiwari (Manoj Bobby) in 'Familyman'.
With the introduction of the personal lives of the main characters at the beginning of the episodes, the next story goes into action. Along with Sial, Anurag Arora, Gopal Dutt and Akshay played their roles well and the intensity in the series will continue till the end. Since the storyline is from the 90s, the director chose a background that was appropriate for the time. The story runs along with the landline itself. The scenes shot in Kathmandu give a whole new feel. The director focuses on-camera work in the filming of thrillers. The cameraman's talent in this regard is to be commended. Although the duration of the episodes is a bit short. Like the 'Familyman' and 'Special OPS' series, the first season of the 'Batman Connection' series also intrigues viewers.
