Ancient carving in the Sun Temple at Modhera.
This temple was built around 1000years ago.You would have come across many figures of god and goddess carved holding weapons in there hand and showing there, any of the avatars but the figure i would like to talk about is different from all those.Here you can see a figure holding something unique that looks like a long rectangular strip with markings on it which is similar to that of modern day scale or ruler.This figure clearly depicts that ancient builders used measuring instruments just like today.Unfortunately this figures 3 hands out of 4 has been completely destroyed and more findings cannot be done .According the clues the figure is of great Vishwakarman an ancient Architect.He is known for his very advanced engineering projects, that includes Dwaraka.
Second comes the Shiva Lingam with spiral maze.
Let me show you one more intriguing carving.This carving you can find it in the water.This idol of shiva lingam placed in the water with a pattern carved on the river bed which looks like a complicated maze or advanced technology or a spiritual science.
Third the Stone ball in the mouth of Lion
Now comes the rotating stones.There is a lion face carved on a pillar and you can see a ball inside lion's mouth which can be rotated and rolled but can not be pulled out.The strange thing about this carving is that the lion is made of solid granite but the ball inside is made of rock type called Onyx.
