90% of how we perceive everything depends on our first encounter with it, whether it be a person, food, object, or anything else that we can see or hear.
During a trip with my parents to Kerala in a train at the age of 12 first time,I encountered few transgenders.I recall how my parents taught me to respect them not to show discrimination they are still humans and I also remember my parents giving them the extra food that we carried. The Humanity my parents taught me I carried it as,I was raised. When I grew older, I came to see their darker side, but when I searched the causes of their actions, I could see that they were blaming society. And I thought of writing their issues so that at least one person who reads this blog will help this community to overcome the circumstances.
Many of the problems that transgender people encounter arise from the social, legal, and medical institutions' failure to adequately acknowledge and accept their gender identification.
Discrimination: Increased unemployment, homelessness, and restricted access to basic services are all consequences of discrimination.
Healthcare Disparities: Transgender people may have trouble getting access to gender-affirming care as well as healthcare that is attentive to their requirements. Delays in medical transitions, mental health problems, and generally worse health outcomes can result from this.
Mental Health Challenges: Due to social stigma, prejudice, and family rejection, many transgender people have greater rates of mental health problems such sadness, anxiety, and suicidal idea.
Violence and Harassment: People who identify as trans have an increased chance of being harassed physically and verbally, especially transgender women of color. There may be serious safety issues as a result of this.
Inadequate Education:Bullying and prejudice against transgender people frequently occur in educational settings, which can harm both their academic performance and general well-being.
Economic Disparities: For transgender people, discrimination in the workplace and a lack of legal safeguards may lead to lower salaries and financial instability.
Limited Access to Supportive Communities: In some places, access to transgender support networks and communities might be restricted, making it more challenging for people to find empathy and peer support.
What I feel That government should do to protect them!
1 . Government should provide free shelter for transgenders of below age 23 who have been outcast by their family
2.Free School Education and further higher education Scholarship for the transgenders
3.Every PVT LTD company and each State Government sector should have at least 2% reservation for transgenders
4.Every place where they mentioned category for men and women it should also include transgender like for examples toilets, Seats in government transport and all other public places and documents.
5. Most of all the important thing is to provide them a law enforcement oriented to there community helpline only.A team that helps, educate, understand and protects them.
I believe in the Humanity that still exist .Support them pay the way for them.
