Difference Between Love And Affection In A Relationship

Do you feel love or is it just affection? Although there is a habit of linking both feelings, they have great differences.

In relationships, people experience a range of emotions that affect their emotional stability, yet frequently, people wonder what love really is. What is it that one desires? additionally

THE LOVE

According to psychoanalyst Erich Fromm, “Love is the active concern for life and the growth of what we love.”

Love means being attentive, interested in the other person's well-being, and showing personal worries for them. In addition, there is responsibility and deference, which include the uniqueness of the loved one as well as one's own

In relationships of love, love can be summed up as a harmonious balance of connection, respect, trust, and attraction, according to psychologist José Padilla.

THE AFFECTION

It has to do with showing someone you care about them. Their relationship is based on respect and the need to possess something from someone, even if it's just a similar show of affection. Possession is more about being prepared and aware of our voice than it is about control.

IDENTIFY THE DIFFERENCES

It is important to identify certain points where you can find the differences.

1. Possession and freedom: It's important to understand that love is freedom. There is no place for control or possession in this emotion. Submission to the whims of the partner is just not an option since you and your loved one need to understand that independence includes true respect. Possessive and supreme characteristics are more prevalent when it comes to affection, yet this isn't always the case.

2. The transcendent: Love challenges the individual to set new goals and, when meeting the right person, to place importance on that person above all others. When it comes to attachment, the individual (the self) maintains his or her position of privilege and continues to be the primary axis.

3. Feeling: Though love is above emotions and they never stop to be just that, it's possible that deep feelings develop within love. However, these are not your fundamental axis. Affective creativity can also be expressed by movements, but it goes beyond that. Affection can only take the form of affective appearances, such as words, actions, or gestures.

4. Confidence: Because there is confidence towards the other person in love, doubts are set aside. There is no place for misunderstanding when love is returned since it is understood and trusted that the other person wouldn't do anything to hurt you. Because the connection lacks a strong foundation, there is potential for misunderstanding in terms of affection.

5. Intimacy, passion, and dedication: Intimacy, passion, and commitment are the goals of true love. However, there is a more clear slope toward passion when it comes to affection—the strong want to spend time with the other person, either immediately or over time.

6. The connection Love and bonds run very deep. Not when it comes to love. Because the person has self-love, love can have that deep bond without the need to become dependent.
