A nearly impossible angle on the basketball court is successfully completing a bank shot from the side of the basket somewhat behind the basket.
On the golf course, it would be trying to be so precise as to virtually expect a hole in one on a fairly long drive.
In the meantime, there might be things you can do often successfully and often consistently on both the golf course and basketball court.
Realizing though that some things you are contemplating might be relatively impossible, don't fully discount your thinking on the topic.
I had taken a plane ride over Mt. McKinley in Alaska and seeing the mountaintop up close it looked like it would be rather unfathomable to hike to the actual summit of the mountain, as first of all it looked to be either packed snow to sheer ice, just about vertical and you would not only have to get up there but also down, so after that tour flight I didn't have any nascent contemplations of ever attempting such a climb, but I had since hiked on trails in Glacier National Park with switchbacks that were on incredible angles, not vertical but nearby.
So there were loci or areas that were angularly or topographically not impossible angles but veering in that direction that I could tango with.
Another area might be relationships, where someone is looking for a person with ultra common interests, or near duplicate interests and that might be trying to take a virtually impossible angle into that pursuit, and especially at the get go, you don't want to start out a pursuit with giving yourself just about impossible angles.
If you are going to do this, first at least realize you are doing this, and try to figure out the companion reasions for doing this.
It might be for example that you want the ready made excuse.
Or it might be you read something about how it should be but you can also by law make up some of your own rules in vague areas.
At least then consider adjusting to more possible angles, even an easy angle if it can serve your purposes for that instance or temporarily, and reset to look for real challenges, not the virtually impossible that you aren't going to be able to duplicate daily for any stretch realistically.
You might hit a hole in one on the golf course, that might be an annual event and you need angles that you can work with that give you more on the year.
