Story - 1:
It was a dark and stormy night. The kind of night where you just wanted to stay inside, curl up in a blanket, and watch a movie. But that's not what Evan and Alex were doing. No, they were walking around outside, in the rain, looking for something to do.
They had already walked around the block a few times, and were now just standing on the sidewalk, getting soaked. "This is dumb," said Alex. "Why are we doing this?" "I don't know," Evan replied. "I just felt like it." Suddenly, they heard a noise. It sounded like someone was knocking on a door.
They looked at each other, then started walking towards the source of the noise. As they got closer, they could see that the noise was coming from a house. And not just any house, but the most haunted house in town. Evan and Alex had always been curious about the house.
They had heard stories about it being haunted, and they had even seen some strange things happening there. But they had never actually been inside. Now, they were standing in front of the house, and the knocking was getting louder. It sounded like someone was trying to break down the door.
Evan and Alex looked at each other again. Then, without saying a word, they both ran away as fast as they could. They didn't stop running until they got to Evan's house. They were both out of breath and panting heavily. "That was really creepy," said Alex. "I know," Evan replied. "I've never been so scared in my life."
They both stood there for a few moments, trying to catch their breath. Then, they went inside and turned on the TV. And they never talked about that night again.
Story - 2: A real Urban Legend
The toxic waste:
The toxic waste site is a common trope in horror movies and books, but few people know that the story was actually based on an urban legend. According to the story, children used to play at an old toxic waste dump in their town, but one day a creepy guy showed up and took the kids away.
The story usually ends with the kids never being seen again and the police eventually finding the remains of a child’s bones at the dump. In some variations of the story, the children never come back, but the police do find their mutilated bodies at the dump. In others, the kids are taken away by the creepy man and are never heard from again.
The toxic waste story has been around since the 1990s, but has become more prominent in recent years thanks to its inclusion in a TV show. The story has been featured in the hit series Stranger Things, which has brought the legend back into the public consciousness.
