The story takes place around 1995. Revenue officer Ramarao (Ravi Teja) does not tolerate corruption. He runs across his ex-girlfriend Malini (Rajisha Vijayan) one day, and she requests him to assist her in finding her missing spouse. When Ramarao begins his investigation, he learns that many residents of his village have also vanished, and that the cause of all of this is red sandalwood smuggling. The core of the tale is who is responsible for all of this and how Ramarao cracked the case.

The only consolation in the movie is provided by Ravi Teja's honest performance. He acts honestly in his capacity as revenue officer. He did a pretty excellent job in the second half.

The second half makes some sense when contrasted to the first because the sections depicting the inquiry are only fair. Both Nasser and Tenielle Bharani did well in their respective roles.

Tottempudi Venu has a strong comeback and is endearing in the part. Despite the fact that his character is evil, he charms audiences with his Endira Swamy speech. But the movie does not do a good job of defining his part.
The film's terrible execution is one of its main flaws. Although director Sarath Mandava chose a good story to tell, the proceedings failed to pique the audience's interest since they were dull and uninteresting.

The first half is really disorganised and drawn out. The conflict point is not properly established, and there is no suitable villain. Due of this, the two heroines appear to be TV serial actors and give the movie a lifeless appearance.

The hero finds it simple to solve the case because there isn't a clear-cut antagonist. Everything displayed appears to be phoney since there is an improper grasp on the emotions. The so-called major antagonist greatly overacts and annoys the viewers.
Investigative thrillers must be engrossing, however this is not the case in this film because the sequences drag and cause confusion in the viewer. There was no reason for the movie to linger on for that long, and the announcement of the sequel is a great joke on us.

The film's production qualities and camerawork both met expectations, effectively capturing the aesthetic of the 1990s. Both the production design and the language are decent.1995 serves as the year of the story. Ramarao (Ravi Teja), a honest officer, is sent to his hometown of Chittoor. To treat the underprivileged and farmers fairly, he goes above and beyond. Ramarao has a son and a wife named Divyanshaa Kaushik. He receives a woman's letters after taking over as Mandal Revenue Officer/Deputy Collector, asking the government to transfer assets into her name because her husband has been missing for a long time. He arrives at her house. She turns out to be Malini, his ex-girlfriend (Rajisha Vijayan).Murali (Tottempudi Venu), a local sub inspector of police, writes off Malini's husband's disappearance as just another case. Ramarao then launches an independent investigation to discover the facts. Ramarao discovers a network of Red Sanders smugglers quite quickly.

Rama rao On Duty, a film by director Sarath mandava, is based on true events. The public is aware of both the smuggling of Red Sandalwood and the false encounter murders of coolies. The early 1990s episodes are the focus of Sarath Mandava's main argument. The underlying idea is intriguing. There are a few exciting moments in the plot that should have astounded the audience, but they fall short owing to bad execution. While Sarath has made an effort to shed the shadow of Ravi Teja's earlier films and present a tale in a meaningful manner, his biggest error was producing a dull screenplay. The narration is really monotonous.
A few episodes are interesting because of the intermission twist. Nevertheless, the plodding narration
