If Money Were No Object...

I came across a question today in an interview, I gave the answer to the interviewer that time as a suitable answer hit right then and there but while I was still wondering about how my interview went, this question is still stuck in my mind and I am still pondering what would have been the case if this was a reality…

What would you do with your life if money were no object?

The Money trap

I gave an answer that I would spend my time learning new things, continue my further studies and work upon my presentation skills.

What I began to contemplate right from that moment was, would we need to do anything if money were no object?

“Hey folks, do comment your answers below to express your views on this question”

Many of you might have heard a famous song…

"kyun paisa paisa karti hai kyun paise pe tu marti hai"

This is really a food for thought!!

If money didn't matter to you, you would have umpteen ideas to spend your time in the manner that you can enjoy your life to the fullest.

A couple of things which I could ruminate are as follows:

  • I would sleep for as much time as I would want to
  • Play games/use social media platforms on laptop/smartphone all day long
  • Start an NGO to help the needy people in the society
  • Pursue my hobbies like dancing, singing, writing, etc.

Can y'all think of something else, that's more interesting??

No matter what you do in your routine and how diligently you do it, there is a saturation point for everything. What I could understand very clearly from all this is that you need to have a purpose for everything that you do.

If there's no audience to praise your dancing, your singing, your pieces of writing, your cooked food, etc., would you be able to remain rigorous and dedicated in your task for long?

I resonate with a famous quote by the American bishop, author and filmmaker T. D. Jakes :

In the above picture, focus on the word “Propose” for a minute and let your thoughts flow, you will surely realize that maybe a couple of days, a couple of years but not your whole life can be spent purposelessly. A purposeless life is a futile one.

The sooner we realize this, the better we will be!!!

#Always be the best version of yourselves.
