First of all Let us see what is Hypertension?

-Hypertension , also Known as High or Elevated Blood Pressure.

So Blood pressure is the    force    of    blood    against the    walls    of arteries. It rises and  falls throughout    the day.  When    blood  pressure stays    elevated overtime,  it’s    called high    blood    pressure.

Our blood pressure is normal if it's Systolic Blood pressure is below 120mm Hg and Diastolic Blood pressure is 80 mm Hg.

So Hypertension is defined as a condition in which the force of blood against the artery wall is too high. Usually Systolic Blood Pressure is  greater than 140mm Hg and Diastolic Blood Pressure is above 90mmHg.  Elevated blood pressure tends to get worse over time unless steps are taken to control blood pressure.
