….You all might have already seen the horror movie, the Exorsism of Emily rose but do you all know that it was based on a true story

the girl that you can see in the cover picture is Anneliese Michel 

so lets see what actually happened:-

were her hellish hallucinations due to demonic possession or epilepsy?

Anna Elizabeth Michael, born in 1952 in Germany, she had 3 sisters and their parents, Josef and Anna they were strict Roman Catholics her aunts were nuns they used to go to the church very often like twice or thrice a week.

1st sight of her illness :-

when she was 16 years old she had her first seizure. she was diagnosed by neurologists as having temporal epilepsy and then depression.

In 1970, her family admitted her into psychiatric hospital and what good would they bring out her epilepsy and depression worsened 

It also caused psychosis as well that is feeling of being possessed 

She claimed that she could hear whispers while praying that she is “DAMNED” , She will “ROT IN HELL” 

She was considering suicide by getting freaked out every single moment 

1st sight of possession:-

Now Anna became intolerant towards religious objects. This was the main raised suspicious of being possessed. When she was 20 she went on a religious pilgrimage to San Damiano. The Chaperon,an old lady was the first one to point the finger at devil for Annaliese's problems , she informed that she did not drank holy water and refused to see many of Jesus photographs.

Father Renz and Pastor Alt:-

annaliese's parents requested an exorsism. They were denied many times according to them they need to meet many criteria and diagnose if they really need an exorsism or not .

1st indication of being possessed and onto that she was even harming herself,trying to harm others, drink her own urine, eating insects , barking like dogs and had once bit off the head out off a bird

In 1975 they got a local bishop, Josef blessings to perform the great Exorsism

Annalieses herself was convinced that she was possessed by Hitler,Lucifer,Judas,Nero,Cain,and Fleischman

“Dying to atone for the wayward youth of the day and the apostate priests of the modern church” she said

over 10 months,2 priests performed 67 Exorsisms lasting up to four hours long

Near the end she stopped eating and drinking so that she would help rid her body from the demonic influenceres, sadly she passed away on 1st July 1976 when she died she was just 68 pounds that is 30 kilograms she died due to malnutrition according to the doctors.

Trial:-

Josef, Anna, Father Renz , Pasto Alt were charged with negligence homicide, the prosecution recommended punishment of a fine for the priests but not the parents since they have already lost their daughter 

Highlights:-

1)her death was preventable.

2)doctors testified her strange behavior were not demonic possessions 

3)psychiatrists convinced that she was possessed 

In defense:-

1)the German Constitution allowed “unrestricted exercise of religious beliefs ” even Exorsism 

2) They played tapes where the demons were arguing 

At the end they were given 6 years of punishment as jail, 3 years of probation and fine

a reporter said,"the grave is a gathering point for religious outsiders, they usually write notes with requests and thanks for her help and leave them on the grave" he added , “they pray sing and travel on”
