Get more information
Anxiety comes from the very fear of the unexpected. We usually tend to imagine the worst thing about what will happen if we push the boundaries of what makes us feel comfortable and safe. To move out of your comfort zone, you should first know things about yourself. Your aim here is to learn more about whatever thing or skill you are hoping to succeed in. Information becomes your power. And the more you know about your challenges, the less scary and more powerful you will feel.
The hardest thing a person can do is to leave their comfort zone. But you have to let go of your routine you are familiar with and just take the risk to live the life you dream about. ~ T. Arigo.
Have a Plan
After learning about yourself, make a plan of action and push the boundaries of what you think is possible. Write down a step by step plan or how you plan to get out of the comfort zone you live in. Start with the easiest thing you can do to step forward. Then make a plan to get to the next step. Create some mini aims that will put you one step close to pushing yourself past your comfort zone. Know everything about the key challenges you are about to face and what you will do to overcome them.
Be responsible.
Accountability is key to getting out of your comfort zone. Find something to be responsible about and don't let go of it. Do not be careless about what you are accountable for.
Take some small steps.
To take small steps is a great way to get rid yourself to the feelings of anxiety. You should not aspire to be an overnight success.
.
Expand your comfort zone.
Keep looking for new challenges. Find things that you would never imagined you would do. For example, you can take some cold showers, take a social media break, meet your physical goals, go for a hike solo, etc. Like this, if you keep expanding your comfort zone, you will keep becoming more and more flexible. After some while, you will be able to look back and watch how stiff you were with your routine and how much you have grown since then.
