We live on the earth along with millions of other animals,plants and micro organisms.

The earth's is in this shape of a scaled oval path.

Human beings have been trying to make the earth a better place to live in.

We have looked at the earth as a store house of resources.

Exploitation of the earth has meant the destruction of forests,rivers,hills, fellow animals etc resulted of the environmental problems like global warming, poisoning of soil,water and air.

Some 13.7 billion years ago the universe itself Started with a big bang.

Stars were formed with in the galaxies.

Plants were formed and went around stars.

The farthest distance of the earth from the sun is 152 million kms and the closest is 147 million kms.

The travel of the earth around the sun causes the seasons.

The earth was very hot and was constantly bombarded by massive rocks and other materials from space.

The earth is made up of three million layers.

Crust is the outer part of the earth,at where we live ,it goes up to a depth of 30-100 kms and contains various kinds of rocks.

The upper part of the mantle is a pliable layer over which the core floats.

The mantle mainly consists of dense and heavy substances like iron and nickel.

The core can be divided into two sub layers outer core and inner core.

Matters from deep inside the mantle shoot up through fissures.

The crust is being changed by earth quake.

Present continents are originated by the drift from mesozoic era.

Latitudes are parallel circles from the equator going towards the poles.

Equator is the largest among all the latitudes.

South hemisphere is the earth between equator and the south pole.

The earth between the equator and the north pole is called the north hemisphere.

Longitudes are semi circle connecting pole to pole.

Totally there are three hundred sixty longitudes.

Longitude directly opposite to zero degree longitude is called anti meridian.

The crust forms on the earth only one percent of the volume of the earth.

Large group of stars are called galaxy.

Continental drift was introduced by Alfred wangener.

The time between East and West parts of India is differed by two hours.
