Thr tree was huge and home to many and small animals who lived happily on it. The tree was happy by seeing the birds playing and chirping. In return, it gave them sweet fruits to eat.
Two monkeys Bholu and Golu also lived on the tree. One day both monkeys had a fight. The tree did not like it and tried to pacify them but no use. Frightened with the brawl the birds flew away. Many nest broke into bits and panic on the tree.
“Wait, stop fighting. It is enough,” the tree was very angry. It warned the monkeys but they didn't stop fighting.
When the fight goes for long, the tree told the monkeys to get out from the tree.
Bholu and Glou had no choice but to leave the tree and go away.
Birds, hiding here and there, returned to the tree. The environment resumed to normal as before.
On the other hand, Bholu and Gholu became homeless. They searched many places but couldn't find a shelter.
All the trees refused to give them shelter.
If we roam on the ground, some big animal will devour us or some hunter will take us away, thought Bholu and Gholu. We must return to our old place.
But the tree refused to give them shelter.
At a little distance, there was a withered tree standing like a solid piece of dried wood. It was jealous of the big green tree full of fruits. It instigated the monkeys to dig the roots. Then the tree will be half dead.
Without losing time Bholi and Gholu started digging the root of the tree. The tree got scared when they started cutting its root from underground.
“What are you both doing? Have you gone mad?" When the tree tried to stop them, they did not listen.
Birds living on the were frightened. Finally the tree thought out a plan.
“Well both of you cab live here. But as all the branches are full, you will have live on the top most branch of mine," the tree suggested.
Foolish monkeys could not understand the trick of the tree. On getting the approval they started climbing the tree.
The tree asked them to go to the top most thin and delicate branch.
As both sat on the thin branch, it could not take their weight and broken.
They both fall down screaming with pain.
“Now vanish from here as fast as possible or all the birds and animals will tear you to pieces on my gesture,” the tree threatened.
Both monkeys ran from there for life. Since then they were not visible in the jungle. The tree taught them a lesson.
After the monkeys left, the other birds and animals again lived life happily.
