Manya was very active but naughty girl. She had a small cute looking chick. She named her as Neeku. Neeku is very affectionate with Manya.
Manya used to feed Neeku with soft bread with her own hands. Neeyum always ran behind Manya. He had rainbow colors on his wings. In the sunlight his crown used to shine like a gold. He was I indeed very cute and beautiful.
One day, Manya saw a grown up hen with he friend Pinky. Manya instantly liked the hen and became impatient to have her. She said to Pinky, “Pinky, please give me your hen and I will give my little Neeku.”
As Neeku was beautiful, so Pinky agreed to exchange her her with Neeku. This made Neeku sad when he learnt about Manya's desire.
Soon, Manya became friend with the hen. She named her as Mini. Mini too was happy to find Manya very affectionate towards her. She mixedwwll with Manya. Every day Mini used to lay fresh egg. She used to go to Manya and say, “Have this fresh egg, my friend.”
Manya used to have the egg. She then used to feed Mini with her own hands. Mini was very happy with Manya.
One day, Manya came across her old friend Manu in the market. He had a duck. Manya fell in love with the duck. She said to Manu, “Manu, take my beautiful hen. She will give you a fresh egg everyday. In exchange, give me your duck.”
Initially, Manu refused but on repeated insistence, he agreed to exchange his duck with the hen. This made Mini very sad. She was helpless. She had no other option but to go with Manu.
Manya named the duck as ‘Whity’. Soon they became friends. Manya and Whity loved to swim together in the swimming pool. Whity was very happy with Manya.
Once Manya was strolling with Whity near the pond. Her neighbor Monu was also strolling with his cute puppy. Manya saw the cute puppy ans said in her heart, “How cute is this puppy.”
She went to Monu and said, “Please give your puppy, I will give you my duck.”
Tears rolled down from the eyes of Whity.
Manu exchanged Whity with the puppy.
Manya picked up the puppy and caressed him. She said, “I exchanged chick with hen. Then exchanged hen with duck and now I have exchanged duck for you.”
Little puppy became sad when he learnt about Manya's history. He hid under the table. At night when Manya went to sleep, he got up and flew out of the house.
He said to himself, “I can't live with any girl who does not know the meaning of friendship.”
In the morning when Manya got up, she did not find the puppy in her house. She was disappointed as she was left all alone without any friend in the house.
