Hi friends!

I am going to share about the incident that happened during my Grandma funeral. My grandmother gave birth to four daughters and two sons. It's a very big family of ours. Whatever the occasion it is, it will be the happiest one for us, since everyone will gather together grandpa is an influential person in our village. On Inose days many used to work in our fields.

My grandma feeds everyone who came to work on the fields. Not only for those who work but also for the hungry people and the needy. When I was three years old, my grandpa died we went to see her, she will take one or two rupee coins from her surukku pai to give us. We were very happy with those pennies. Those hapThat happiness be there even with Rs.500 or Rs.1000.

Surukku pai

When I was studying 10th she was severely ill and my mom took care of her while she was bedridden. I and my sister used to help her walk and we share all the school activities, stories with her. Before our home, very vast coconut trees around 50 trees which are very tall. During the daytime, it will be good to watch, along with coconut trees garden was there, plants like rose, jasmine, marigold etc. During nighttime it will be very dark and scary, we siblings won't go out alone.

Some days there won't be power at home during the night time and it's difficult to sleep at night due to heat. So we will go to the terrace to sleep, but we will be scared to sleep in the corner and fight for the centre place near mom.

When I was studying 11th by staying in the school hostel, my grandma passed away. We were very sad and cried our hearts out. After finishing all the final rites and we came back to our home. On that night, I, my cousin brothers, sisters sat on the balcony and we were simply speaking about random things. It was 11 PM, we were unable to sleep that night, missing our grandma. While we were speaking some strange noise and sound of someone shouting out my name from that dense coconut trees.

I was not sure at first, whether I was the only one hearing that sound or other people too. All of them were hearing that sound, at first, the sound was low and gradually it got increased. My elder brother confirmed with us regarding the sound, it felt very strange and new to us so he asked every one of us to go inside and sleep. Till now we are unaware of that strange noise on the night of our grandma funeral.
