Hi friends,

In this blog, I am going to share about Human evolution. Time in history is calculated in year's using BCE/CE that is Before Common Era, Common Era. We came to know about old stone age people through their used stone tools, inscription on the walls, paintings on the caves etc.

Term History is derived from the Greek word “Istoria” which means learning by enquiry. Until the 20th century, the greatness of Ashoka was unknown unless material evidence was provided by William Jones, James Princep, Alexander Cunningham.

Based on this evidence, Charles Allen wrote a book named " The search for the Indias lost Emperor, which provided a comprehensive account of Ashoka. Anthropology is the study of human history and evolution. Radiocarbon dating was used to get the period. It found that the footprints of humans were about 3.5 million years old.

Our ancestors led a nomadic life. They kept on moving in search of food. They hunted pigs, deer, bison, rhino, elephant and bear for food. they scavenged the animals killed by other wild animals like tigers. They learnt fishing, collected honey from Beehives, plucked fruits from trees, dug out tubers from the ground.

Once the food source got over in that area they moved to another area. They wore skin I.e hides of animals, barks of trees, leaves to protect themselves from winter. They started using fire to protect themselves from wild animals, light during the night, cook food.

The invention of the wheel is considered to be the foremost invention. They used the wheel for making pottery. They learnt and experienced to cultivate by seeing the seeds that are grown after being thrown by them. After that, they started doing cultivation.

Harappan and Mohenjo-Daro civilization was unearthed during British east India rule. It was first described by Charles Masson in his book who is a soldier and explorer. He mentioned that he saw a ruined brick castle with very high walls and towers built on a hill.

Harappan civilization is older than Mohenjo-Daro based on the earthenware's used. Harappan civilization is an urban civilization. All the civilizations are established near the rivers because if these reasons

First, the soil is fertile.

Second, water can be used for irrigation, watering livestock and drinking.

Third, easy movement of goods and people.

Thank you, everyone, for reading. Kindly follow and don't forget to like.
