I like to share a story by Robert Arthur. It is an interesting story that proves “ Apperance are deceptive” .

About Author:

Robert Jay Arthur Jr.(November 10,1909-May 2,1969) . While his father was stationed there as a lieutenant in the United States Army. Arthur spent his childhood moving from place to place, wherever his father was stationed. He was a writer of speculative fiction and specialised in crme fiction,and mystery fiction . He was know for his work with The Mysterious Traveller Radio series and for writing The Three Investigators,a series of young adult novels.

AWARDS:

He was honoured twice by the Mystery writers of America with an Edgar Award for best  Radio Drama. He also wrote scripts for television📺.

Ausable was a secret agent. He was very fat,He was staying on the sixth floor of a french hotel. He spoke French and German with slight American accent.

Fowler was a young writer.He was  disappointed to see Ausable in a small hotel . Ausable told that Fowler might feel disappointed in his company. Ausable tried to cheer Fowler. He opened the door of his room and switched on the light. Ausable told Fowler that he would see an important documents that would change the history. 

Some line from story:

"You are disillusioned. But take cheer,my young friend ."

Fowler saw  a man standing with a pistol. Ausable called that man as Max. Max looked like a cunning fox. Max said that he had come here to take the report about some missiles from him. Ausable said that he would complain to the management of the hotel about the entry of some one  through the balcony for the second time.  He said that inspite of the repeated requests,the management had not blocked it. Max said that he did not enter through the balcony.He had a pass key .

There was knocking at the door .It was the waiter with the drinks. But Ausable told that  it was police . Max was frightened. 

 Some line from story :

“ Send them away or I will shoot.I will  wait on the balcony ”

He told Ausable to  send the police and he would wait on the balcony,Max jumped out of the window 🪟 thinking that there was a balcony. He fell down with a scream . There was no balcony there. Ausable proved his intelligence. Finally Ausable outwitted Max.
