The world we live in is far from perfect. Famines, disasters, and catastrophes affect the lives of people we know as well as those we have never met. Our world creates beauty, but it also creates great pain.
People around us are not perfect. Greed and selfishness are rampant in every society. Prejudices and misunderstandings damage relationships. Hatred and contempt have had dire consequences since the dawn of time. Unfortunately, we are far from perfect. We often fall into temptations and addictions. We fight ourselves to do what is right. And, basically, we know there are just too many unhealthy tendencies that motivate our actions and decisions.

You can better understand the good things around you. The valleys are low, so the peaks are high. Without suffering, there is no joy. Imperfection brings beauty to goodness. And knowing that life is imperfect at best, you can find even greater joy in the small moments of victory.

Life isn't perfect, but it lasts. And when we learn to fully embrace both its beauty and weakness, we create opportunities to triumph in both.
