The multi-genre movie Gatta kusthi, directed by chella Ayyavu, opens with Keerthi (Aiahwarya Lekshmi), a passionate wrestler from palakkad, Kerala, who is eager to succeed in her line of work against the opposition of majority of her family. The director throws a surprice at us just as we start to assume that the movie would be a sports drama.

The film also features a family drama with lots of intense emotions. The screenplay is engaging and contains a number of recognisable  conflicts and events, which allows the director to frequently throw similar surprises that keep the audience interested. Having said that, there are several issues with the film.

Veera, a pollachi native, is a jovial man who enjoy playing kabaddi as one of his hobbies. while his friend kaali venkat and uncle karunas are looking for a marriage hor him, veera's outrageous expectations are driving them insane.

on the advice of a friend , veera meets keerthi; however, the latters's family chooses not a disclose keerthi's love of wresling to the family of the potential husband. They eventually marry, and they have a lovely life together-until veera finds out about her love of the sport. when he learns of her haughty behaviour, all hell breaks loose. the couple chooses to split up and competes against and another in a wrestling match.

The combination of commercial components, which effectively keeps the audience captivated, is what makes movie function. the way that amusing scenes are presented, together with vishnu and aishwarya's excellent performance, enhance the narrative.

Due to its staging and amusing one liners, an intercut segment with a few husbands and wives lamenting the lack of responsibility among thier various spouses stands out. with their best efforts, karunas and kaali venkat brings down the house. the untermission episode, which features an action scene starring aishwarya, is an exhilarating roller-coaster and provides nothing more than family-friendly entertainment.

with her excellent portrayal of a young lady torn between pursuing her aspiration and being a responsible wife, Aishwarya dominates multiple sequence. on the other hand, vishnu should be commended for stepping aside and letting the female protagonist take the lead in a few scenes in a film that he also funded.

for the most part, he lead performers are the ones that keep the audience entertained, but other actor like redin kingsley, munishkanth, and lizzie antony also contribute. another noteworthy element of the film is anbariv's choreography of the stunts.

All things considered, the pre-climax struggle turns out to the be theatrical and predictable. A battle scene in the finale seems overdone and vishnu's subsequent discussion on women's empowerment is both timely and preachy. Although the songs in the movie are well shot, they serve as speed bumps. on the surface, some of the confrontations in the second half seem strong, but the execution suffers.
