Mahendra Singh Dhoni, our country's brilliant captain, is to thank for the enormous popularity our cricket team has gained. In 1998ā€“1999, he was chosen to play cricket for Bihar's Uā€“19 team. He participated in Bihar's inaugural Ranji Trophy game when he was 18 years old and struck a half-century. His abilities were noticed by the team selection of the Indian national cricket squad just five years later. He contributed a century for the East Zone, which helped the team win the Deodhar Trophy thanks to his stellar effort. 

His squad was able to win the Duleep Trophy thanks in part to his 60 runs. He eventually became a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) with Indian Railways in 2000 in the West Bengali district of Midnapore. He was really truthful. He also had a playful side to him. He and some companions once terrorised the night watchmen guarding the railroad barracks by dressing as ghosts.

He ultimately improved his cricketing abilities. His performance against Pakistan in the Triangular Tournament held in Kenya. This gave him the new moniker "clinical slayer" of praiseworthy bowling attacks. The Bengal captain in the 1960s, PC Poddar, recognised his abilities and called the National Cricket Academy right away.
