Basically weight loss happens when there is more calories buried than calories intaken.
Let's start on with the basic exercises.Cardio exercises are widely practiced for weight loss.Walking,running,swimming,cycling does help you burn calories.But does it help in weight loss?When you walk for 30 minutes,you burn around 150 calories which is roughly equal to calories in a gas of soda.So does it really worth doing cardio rather we can basically avoid that soda.Yes it is.When you do it over a long time it does produce results.YOU NEED TO DO CARDIO ATLEAST 4 HOURS PER WEEK TO SEE DESIRED RESULTS. At the beginning you may find it difficult to perform the exercises. At that time you can divide whole session into small sub-sessions.You can measure the amounts of calories you consumed and amounts of calories burned on a regular basis to check your progress.At the same time you should maintain your bone mass
Strength exercises helps in building muscles and maintaining bone mass.It does lead to increased metabolism.Metabolism lead to burning body fat more than bone mass.More the muscles , increased is the metabolism.When metabolism increases you can burn calories more easily.But strength training should not be done everyday like aerobic exercises. Atleast have a day break after two days of strength training.For example when you weightlifting on Monday and Tuesday,take a break on Wednesday and then start the exercises.In weightlifting, instead of doing lesser weight for more reps you can rather go for more weight for few repetitions.
