1. Always sharpen knife
You can prepare almost anything in the kitchen with 3 basic knives: pairing knife, chef knife and carving knife. Whatever knife you use, the most important thing is to keep it sharp. Many home cooks think that a knife that is too sharp will cut itself, but the opposite is true. A dull knife can easily slip off the food you are cutting and cause more kitchen accidents than I remember. Polished steel can be used to easily keep the knife sharp. Speaking of knives, try to cut them evenly. Make sure the cuts are the same size, whether slicing, dicing or chopping. When cutting onions, there are large and small ones. Cook large chunks or burn small chunks. In this way, all dishes are cooked at the same time.
2. Salt is your friend
Hint: Season! you! meal! Salt is the key to bringing out the flavor of food on the tongue. Most recipes mention when to add salt (and sometimes pepper), but experience shows that when you start cooking, add at least one or two salts, and finally one. It is advisable to add one or two salts. Try it often as your taste will be the ultimate guide here.
3 INGREDIENTS MATTER
Have you tried a simple meal at a restaurant and wondered if it was millions of times better than having the same meal at home? It always happened to me. I used to think that chefs had to do great things in the kitchen, but the opposite is true. Good restaurants take great care to ensure that each ingredient achieves the best results. They use only the highest quality, fully mature ingredients. Try shopping at the
Farmers Market. They don't just rejoice in ripe tomatoes and berries. They also need them. Unfortunately, most supermarkets stink. I have never bought seasonal tomatoes or strawberries at the supermarket.
Good farmers take pride in what they grow. Your product will almost certainly taste better. And they sell only the seasons.
4. It will be clean
I saw one of the cooking shows that the judges called attention to because of the messy platform of the athletes. Chefs hate messy kitchens. A messy kitchen is usually a messy dish. Pollution is also more likely to occur in a chaotic atmosphere. Who really likes to deal with a dirty kitchen after cooking or eating? Clean as you go.
5. THINKTEXTURE
Creamy. It was crisp. tough. Juicy. difficult. soft. thick. Festival great. I like foods with different textures. One is too many and one plate is one-dimensional. Plain turkey sandwiches are boring. Add crispy lettuce, juicy sliced tomatoes and creamy spices and you're ready to go.
