Love Story 2050 Movie Review

What could have been the first Indian sci-fi film and a turning point in Indian cinema turns out to be a wet squib. The movie reminded me of 10,000 BC. and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. 10,000 BC because the advertisement of the film was promising to say the least and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom because I consider the film a classic example of how a director can sterilize a beautiful and fresh story.

The love story of 2050 had a narrative that most of our movies today lack. It could be one of the best movies of the year, but unfortunately showing only Mumbai inspired by Star Wars doesn't bode well.Karan (Harman Baweja) is the only son of a multi-millionaire who lacks love and affection because his mother died when he was ten years old and his father has no time for him. Sana (Priyanka Chopra) is a sweet and shy typical Bollywood heroine who is the complete opposite of Karan.

After a few meetings and a song, both fall in love. Boman Irani plays an eccentric scientist named Dr. Yatinder Khanna, who is Karan's uncle and is on the edge of a time machine. The couple gets married when tragedy strikes and Sana dies in an accident, and Karan must go on a journey to the year 2050 to get his lady love back. The movie was inspired by so many Hollywood movies that it's amazing..

Maybe the movie should be called Love Story 2050. The graphics are straight out of Star Wars with flying cars and laser guns. The female robot is straight out of "Bicentennial Man," while the female robot Boo is copied from "Artificial Intelligence." Boman Irani's character is reminiscent of Dr. Brown from Back to the Future. The film also defies our understanding of reincarnation. If Sana died in 2008, she must be 42 years old after her reincarnation in 2050, but she is a very young and successful pop star. Maybe he took a break every now and then and hung out with our gods.

Dr. Khanna does not find it difficult to fix a robot powered by A.I. in 2050, although technology has made great strides. And yes, some scenes are shamelessly lifted from the aforementioned movies. The film is tolerable in the first half when the couple is in 2008 and the love story unfolds. It has its moments, though they are few and far between. The second half drags because there are too many unwanted scenes that could have been left on the editor's desk.

I didn't understand why the Mortal Combat episode was there in the movie. The film requires very heavy editing to be bearable, especially towards the end.Touted as the next superstar, Harman is pretty good for his first film, though not a dream debut like Hrithik's. He needs to watch his vocabulary and work on emotional scenes. He starts crying when he cries. Priyanka is eligible. Boman Irani does a bit over the top the production at times, even though he doesn't have much of a role to play.

Archana Puran Singh manages to get a few laughs and is lost in her role. The music is already up and good. "Mausam Achanak ye badla kyun" and "Milo na milo" are definitely above average songs.A great story and an awful lot of money was wasted. But still, I wouldn't want to write it off completely because I've seen worse in the last few months. Two out of five because the film didn't turn out to be pure torture like Tashan. 😍💗

love story ❤️
