Mary, Queen of Scotland was a born queen. Her father died when she was 6 days old. This put her life in danger. So, Marie de guise, mother of Mary wants to protect her child at any cost. So, she decided to engage her daughter to the dauphin of France, Francis. Mary was left at the French court when she was young. But to ensure her safety, she was sent to a convent. Threats followed her even there which lead to her journey back to France.

The queen of England was ill and the next legitimate position to the throne falls towards Mary. Scotland and England were not in good terms. So, Mary claiming the throne would be difficult and along with that her cousin Elizabeth was also trying to be the Queen of England. So, Henry, father of Francis decided to wed his son to Mary so that they can rule half of the Europe which is France, Scotland and England. 

But there was a prophecy which made Mary believe that Francis would lose his life if she weds him. Despite many struggles, they both got married and were madly in love with each other. Soon after their wedding, Henry became ill and he was acting out of control. And later he was murdered by his own son for the good of France. 

Francis became the King of France and Mary its queen. They worked together for their people and country. But this happiness did not last forever. Lola, one of the Mary's friend and her lady had a relationship(a moment of weakness) with Francis in the past. Lola became pregnant with the baby of Francis. This created a space between Mary and Francis as she could not give an heir soon. But they solved this issue as days passed.

Francis was blackmailed by a noble lord as he knew about the regicide. Francis did not tell Mary about this because this could cost her head if the truth came out. Because of the bad decisions taken by Francis under blackmail , people started hating him. They even went to the lengths of killing him. On the day of the attack, Francis was not in the castle. So, Mary suffered for his decisions. She was raped by a man which made her weak and she could not ever be normal with Francis as he was a constant remainder to Mary about the incident happened.
