I have a lot to say,

but can you hear me

I have a lot to show,

but can you see it without judging me,

I may be smiling in front of you,

but deep down I am in an unknown pain,

these heavy responsibilities

on my fragile shoulders,

I have forgotten who am I,

I have forgotten what my passion was,

I have forgotten what made me happy,

I have forgotten what I want,

how many more sacrifices

do you want me to do,

Sleep is no more a means of taking rest

but it is an escape from reality,

People cheered  and praised

until they  got what they wanted out of me,

but the moment I went against them,

I became a butt of jokes,

by an army of my haters,

for no rational reason at all,

Everyone was waiting for my fall,

and they did their best to drag me down,

but remember I am strong,

I  am much more than you think,

I may be lying on the ground now,

but that doesn't mean I surrender,

I'll fall, again and again

but then too I'll not stop running,

If I couldn't run,

I'll crawl but

not give up at all...

This is my first poem, and it was inspired by my sister, who is one of the most amazing girls in the world. Every time I've watched her struggle emotionally, she's come back strong. I remember her being a really happy, hilarious, and laid-back girl in college, and then I remember her preparing day and night for NET and clearing it in CS, as well as the difficulty she went through. Then I witnessed her marrying and having a really cute child, as well as all of the emotional upheavals she underwent. I've witnessed a girl's hardships at various periods of her life, from elementary school to college. Then there's your life deciding phase like job preparation and so on. Then there's the era of being married, leaving everything behind to embrace strangers and loving, embracing them as if they were her own family, as well as all the challenges that come with being a working woman. She is so brave and an inspiration to me. She has had a significant influence on my development. I may be terrible at expressing my feelings for her, but I swear I adore and respect her a lot!!
