Everybody’s Faking It Somehow

I’m not sure who needs to read this, but everybody you know is somehow faking it somehow. It’s just that some know how to fake it better than others. When we see someone whom we naturally regard higher status than us our first instinct is they have got it figured it. Our initial thoughts are, “what is it that they know? Look at the confidence, the charisma and the wealth they’ve accumulated.” We think they’ve really made it in life.  But what they’ve really done is make people believe they’ve done it and you fell for it.

To make you better understand what I’m trying to say let’s take a look at the history of life on the planet. Earth the planet that inhibits various life sources was able to create such ecosystem because it had all the correct elements for life to nurture itself, even though it started resembling like a blob fish, we have now developed into the extremely complicated self-aware beings that humans are today. But that will never really explain how we got here and I guess we’ll never know why only a life form decided to change and the rest stayed with their animal instincts and never developed self-awareness.

What’s even more strange is that we are the only life form we know of in the universe that can decide go against the grain of the nature literally and break automatic processes due to the way our brain has developed, We don’t see birds try to change the way they shit, like we humans did when developing toilets. Birds for the rest of eternity will keep shitting on our cars. If we wanted to purposely decide stop eating for 30 days and stop the basic urge to go and look for food, we obviously could. That’s the human condition and that’s cool but that sort of self-awareness comes with a cost, the cost of comparison, higher ego and hierarchy and thinking a way to figure out how we can properly go through life without actually having to fake it.

I’m right now in the middle of reading a book “A PEOPLE’S HISTORY OF CIVILIZATION” and the guy who wrote it is a “PRIMITIVIST”. If you don’t know what a primitivist is, it’s basically a person who believes that the ideal time the humans were living was the time when we were more one with the nature, and we weren’t trying to domesticate or control it. The dude in the book basically argues that with the invention of domestication and civilization around 2000 BC is when the downhill of humanity started. When we decided,” Hey, we can actually completely separate our self completely from the nature and conquer over it” that’s when the plagues, war, patriarchy and the injustice started. I’m not saying that I agree with this dude completely but the person makes senses for some points. (And it was interesting to me that I was agreeing with a guy who thinks we should still wipe our asses with leaves)

And something else that came to me after reading the book was that in the time when we were discovering domestication and the other stuff was probably around the time everyone started to fake it, when we stated to create huge civilization everybody started to show that they knew what was going on with this universe that we find ourselves in. We started to think we have it figured out. We created big societies in which some people will take on some roles, some people will be valued more than the other people, forms of wealth were created which went bartering to stupid looking pieces of paper. It became much easier to fake our entire existence. And most of us have completely forgot that all of this stuff is completely arbitrary.

So the basic idea of living life today has become to keep faking your life until it becomes your second nature. And then when it becomes your second nature you are expected to be sincere about how you potray yourself and not compare with others, which in it's entirety is bullshit. Because for faking you've always looked upto a certain person and made yourself like them, and when you reach a point when you think you have become like “THEM” you start getting frustrated as to  why am I not attracting people like that person or why am i not successful and that leads to dissatisfaction from life. Which in turn leads to a very prize driven society where people do things only because they can have the prize in the end and not for the fun of it.

In the end, We're all very advanced forms of life who can think for themselves. We only need a push and then your brain does thinks you never thought you would,  consider this blog your push and let the brain wonder what actually is true and what isn't.  And ask yourself “Have you been faking it ? If yes where has it taken you to? ”
