Hello friends, I am currently in my final year (4th year) and started preparing for on campus placement and still now four companies came for a drive and only 3 people was attended those due to eligibility of 80% throughout the academic journey, so I missed all the four companies as I am only having 76% in both HSC and SSLC but with 8.58 cgpa.
I came to know that, this time few regular core companies who come to our college every year are not ready to hire freshers. So there are only opportunities this time and I should make use of it.
One of my close friend also hurts me as he is eligible but I am not, he told me that “you should open your mouth only when you are eligible to attend any company”.
I felt really bad and just ignore him then the real golden opportunity come to me in the format of e-mail that I got shortlisted for upcoming placement drive for a reputed core company.
I started preparing seriously than before, solving electrical core concept problems drom first year subjects to be strong in basics.
The date was not mentioned but staff informed that we still have 20 days, so it's difficult for me to make a study plan and so I gave myself 7 days to complete 3 subjects, so that I can complete 6-8 subjects by the end of second week. Not a complete study just revising the basic working principle, open circuit and short circuit test, general equations.
Suddenly when those three eligible classmates attended a company which I mentioned 80% students can only attend, again I felt guilty that why I can't make it this time also, they attended 4 companies, they failed to clear the second round in all the four company, oh my god why they are wasting the opportunity without preparing to their full efforts and those who seeking for opportunity like me still remains the same, who keep preparing for a long time.
They scored well during school days as their schools provide more marks during COVID, we are COVID batch who passed SSLC without writing, but now they are just memorize the concepts and so failed to explain the concepts easily.
I never thought that my school days marks will be a factor that affects my opportunities, why they consider them, even they consider, they should note the progress right?
Because from a 76% student, now I am a 85% student till my 6th semester, I started understanding the concepts so that it's easy to score marks as well. But still waiting for the opportunity.
Hope, companies will also consider us to attend on campus drive or else I can secure a job somewhere by off-campus.
Also I think off campus offers will be better than on campus placement offer.
