This is the story of the Zen master Ikkiu when he was a student in a monastery. His guru kept an ancient tea cup as a symbol. One day the boy Ikki broke the cup. Hearing the footsteps of his guru, he picked up the pieces of the cup and kept it in his hand. As soon as the guru appeared in the room, Ikyu questioned why humans had to die.
Guru said it is natural.He said that as much as it is necessary to live well, it is necessary for everyone to die. Ikyu opened his hand to show that the time has come for this ancient cup to die.

Buddha refused to forgive

A merchant entered the Buddha's ashram and struck him on the cheek. The cause of his anger was that his children had left his hard-earned wealth and joined the Buddha's ashram. Buddha smiled at him. Not a word, not a reaction. The merchant returned home shocked. He could not sleep at night. For the merchant, the world he had seen so far was turned upside down.

The merchant went to the ashram before dawn the next day. He went directly to the Buddha and apologized for slapping the Buddha on the cheek. Buddha said that he could never forgive him. He asked the merchant what he did wrong, to forgive him.The merchant remembered what had happened the previous day. “Oh, that person is not here now. If I ever meet the person you hit, I'll tell him you apologized. You have done no wrong to this person who is here now.” said the Buddha.
