Water Importance In India⛈🌦🌨🌧

Water is basic need for all the life forms including human beings, plants and animals. Some areas of our country are rich in water resources but some are also suffering from chronic water shortage.

The areas which have excess of water bodies are rich because of good production of crops while the areas which do not have water resources are struggling financially because of poor crops growth. Therefore, there should be a proper water distribution management system in the country to distribute water in all the regions of country equally.

In India, rain is important source of water. Many people in India depends upon monsoon for harvesting of their crops. Also, rain water fills up dried ponds and lake to later use this water in the future. There are many natural lakes in the country for the demand of emergency supply of water but many artificial lakes are also built in some places to use this water for long period of time.

But the rain alone is not sufficient to meet the demand of water for all the people of country. There are many reasons for this  problem.

Some of the problems are:-

1.The growth of our population. Our population is growing at a rapid rate which means consumption of water is also going to increase rapidly. It will become challenging for our government to distribute water among so many people equally because government is still struggling to supply water to the current population. That is why we should not waste much water during bathing, cleaning and in washing.

2.Some parts of our country are also not covered by enough vegetation to seep the rain water into the ground. So,these places are suffering from lack of underground water. Many urban cities in India are fully depending upon under ground water because there are no lakes and rivers in the cities.

3.Also,the crops which need high amount of water to grow are consuming much fresh water from our natural resources.

4.Discharge of untreated water into the lakes, ponds and river is decreasing the availability of fresh usable water. This untreated water waste also affect the marine life of fishes, crabs etc.

5.The main reason for water shortage is our changing lifestyle.People who are living in urban areas consumes much more water than the people who are living in rural areas.
