Our household remaining waste is called garbage.Every home generates lot of garbage daily.This garbage include remaining food,decayed fruits and vegetables,unwanted items,glasses object etc.Some of our waste is biodegradable and reusable and some are not.If our waste is not biodegradable then it will pollute our environment later.This pollution can be of any type soil,water,air etc.

There should be some actions on our waste for their disposal.Fortunately,there are several methods now to dispose our waste.Some of the famous disposal methods are given below:-

1.Recycling 

Many types of solid waste can be recycled like metal,plastic and paper.For example:-paper products are recycled in paper mills.Waste plastic items are recycled in plastic factories.Similarly,metal waste is recycled in big industries of metal and melt them for various purposes.

2.Compost Preparation

All kind of biodegrable waste like fruits,vegetables,left over food,vegetables peels,dead leaves are converted in manure by buried them in a pit for sometime.Later,this compost is used in crop fields for high cultivation.

3.Incineration

Incineration means burning of waste product until it becomes to ashes.This process of burning waste products at very high temperature is called incineration.Many kind of non biodegradable waste is terminated by the process of incineration.This non biodegradable items include chemical waste,household waste and biological left overs like in hospitals.

4.Landfill 

The dipping of waste in a pit and covering it from earth is called landfill.In urban areas mostly waste is disposed by throwing them in a low level land areas.Later,these kind of areas can be used in building large infrastructure for various public purposes.We can also use these areas for cultivation of our crops if the waste beneath the soil is biodegradable.

5.Sewage Treatment

The dirty underground tank of our houses which contains urines and faeces and carried out through drains and pipes is called sewage.If this untreated drain is dumped into our rivers then it will pollute our water bodies.That is why sewage water must be treated before dumping into the river.This sewage water will also affect aquatic life of fish and other marine creatures if it thrown directly into the river.
