Leyangtsi was a person who lived during the Warring States Period in the state of Wei. His wife was incredibly virtuous and angelic, and her husband adored and really respected her.

Leyangtsi once came across a piece of gold while returning home, and he was so excited that he hurried as quickly as he could to tell his wife. The guy's wife turned to face the gold and said, "As you know, it is typically said that a true man never drinks stolen water. How on earth can you bring a piece of stolen gold home? The words really moved Leyangtsi, and he promptly put them in their proper place.

"The following year, Leyangtsi left his wife at home alone and traveled to a far-off location to study classics with a gifted professor. When Leyangtsi entered one day, his wife was weaving on the loom. The wife immediately inquired as to why he returned so quickly after seeing him because she appeared frightened.

The spouse talked about missing her. With what the husband has done, the wife became irate. Leyangtsi was highly perplexed by the wife's decision to use a pair of scissors to chop down the fabric she had been weaving on the loom while advising her husband to exercise restraint and avoid becoming overly indulgent in the love.

"If something is stopped halfway, it is just like the cut cloth on the loom," said his wife. Only when the cloth is done will it be helpful? But as of late, it has only been a complete mess, much like your studies.

Leyangtsi's marriage profoundly moved him. He made a decisive exit from his house and continued studying. He waited till he had achieved great things before going home to visit his loving wife.

The tale has been used as a model for individuals who would withdraw from competitions for ages.

Ask a Fox for Its Skin

"Long ago, there was a young guy named Lisheng who had recently wed a stunning woman. The bride had a strong will. She thought one day that a fox fur coat would look lovely on her. She so requested that he buy her one. However, the coat was excessively pricey and scarce. The defenceless husband had no choice but to wander the hillside. A fox was passing right then and there. He wasted no time in grabbing its tail. So, dear fox, let's come to a compromise. Could you give me a piece of skin to touch? I guess that's not such a huge thing.

The suggestion astonished the fox, but she calmly responded, "Well, my darling, that's easy. But allow me to let go of my tail so I may remove the skin for you. So the happy man set her go as he awaited the skin. But as soon as the fox was liberated, she dashed into the jungle as swiftly as she could.

The narrative can be used to demonstrate how challenging it is to demand someone act against their will, even in an apparently insignificant way.
