In this we are all going to see about some interesting facts about our milky way galaxy….

This will me quite interesting while reading and unbelievable facts are here to read.. why are you waiting... Come on to know more about this .., πŸ™‚

Our galaxy has a mysterious halo because, according to scientists, dark matter makes up 90% of its bulk. Thus, less than 10% of the mass of the Milky Way is comprised of "luminous matter," or that which can be seen with the unaided eye or through a telescope. Its halo is not the typical glowing kind that comes to mind when we think of angels or meteors.

Although the halo in this instance is invisible, its presence has been proven through simulations of how the Milky Way would look without the invisible mass and how quickly the stars in our galaxy's disc would orbit the centre.

By the way it's warped and it has an invisible Halo in it .. that was made from other galaxies and we can't take a picture of it.

It's really look like dusty and gassy only , there is a black hole at the centre of the galaxy.

It's almost as old as the universe itself. The milky way galaxy is a huge collection of stars, dust and gas only. It's called a spiral galaxy because if you could wiew it from the top or bottom.

Then it would like a spinning pinwheel. The sun  πŸŒž is located on one of the spiral arms, about 25,000 light-years away from the centre of the galaxy.

This galaxy type is barred spiral. This age is 13.6 billion years and it's still counting. Number  of stars about 200 billion, rotation time takes 250 million years.

This Milky way galaxy is a disk that measures 120,000 light years across, with a central bulge that has a diameters of about 13,000 light years.

Then this disk is not perfectly flat through, it is warped due to our neighbouring galaxies larg and small Magellanic clouds. These two galaxies have been pulling on the matter in our galaxy like a game of tug-of-war.

Our galaxy is made up of about 90 % dark matter, matter that cannot be seen and about 10% β€œluminous matter”, or matter that we can see with our eyes. This large quantity of dark matter causes an invisible Halo that has been demonstrated.

Hope you enjoyed this fun and great facts about our MILKY WAY GALAXY.
