The Maggi Controversy in 2015 was one of the terrific public hurdle for Nestle India. Because when it was tested, the two minute Maggi was found hazardous for human consumption.

Economically speaking , Nestle contributes to 25% revenue in India. Recently it was found that a huge portion of the nestle products like coffee, pet food ,baby products etc…did not meet the necessities of the so called 'healthy''. “Some of our categories and products will never be ‘healthy’ no matter how much we renovate,” said the Nestle internal presentation.

The company is now in damage control mode and said that it will work on updating its nutrition and health strategy. Nestle got around 3.5 star for the recognized definition of health.

“We believe that a healthy diet means finding a balance between wellbeing and enjoyment. This includes having some space for indulgent foods, consumed in moderation. Our direction of travel has not changed and is clear: we will continue to make our portfolio tastier and healthier,” this was the statement made by Nestle after this controversy.

A brief info on the 2015 magi crisis :

In the end of May, FDA(food safety administration of India) ordered Nestle to recall its Maggie product after conducting researches which showed that high rates of MSG and Lead. However the products returned to the stores after the court lifted the case. The company had to remove Maggi packs, all 35,000 tons of the product, from store shelves. A court ruling overturned the ban in August, but Maggi's reputation was severely damaged and regaining sales was difficult.

But now Maggi does not contain any such harmful substances like MSG in its Maggie tastemaker and follows the food regulations strictly.

The Nestle company had to recall its 37,000 tones if Maggie from the stores all over India during the ban in 2015. Nestle's chairman and managing director Suresh Narayanan who was no stranger in handling such issues was brought to manage the crisis. Nestle's good karma helped it come out of this crisis. If it was not for Suresh Narayanan to control the damage accurately. He also says that Maggie was the worst crisis Nestle had faced in its104 years says Suresh Narayanan.

ow many problems may come Indians love for Maggie never changes. we all Maggie especially to hostlers. And my kind request to whoever is reading this is please don't spoil Maggie by making it a desert and eat it as a hot snack .The reason I said the above statement is because of the following picture.
