Irena Sendler was a humanitarian born on 15 February 1910.She ended up helping the polish injured soldiers during the world war 2.She helped to smuggle Jews(especially children) out of the concentration camps. She saved around 2500 children to escape from those awful concentration camps. Sendler started working as a nurse in their and with the help of her colleagues she managed to create around 3000 false documents so that the Jewish families can escape.
Irena Sendler asked the Jewish parents to give up their children, so that she could take them out of those camps. Though it was a heartbreaking decision for the parents, they had to do it for their children's good. Irena used many ways to smuggle them with the help of her mates by giving the children false identities. She sometimes hid the children under the stretchers in an Ambulance, in briefcases ad trunks, through sewer pipes, and by a passage t he church and secret passages. Truly speaking all these methods were more dangerous than it can be told, implementing them is not easier as seen inn he movies nowadays.
After transferring them from the camps, Sendler hid those children in the houses of polish families, Orphanages and convents .Sendler ensured that children would be returned to their parents after the completion of war. In a nutshell she risked her life to save the Jewish lives.
Irena Sendler died at the age of 98 with a great achievement in her life. She died on 12 may 2008. She was buried in Warsaw, Poland. Though she is no more in this world she will always be present in our hearts as one of the heroes who fought for Nazis and saved the life of those precious children.
