Hello friends! how are you? I hope that you are alright and doing well in your life.

Today I am here with Bhagwad Gita - Chapter 4, Verse -5. So, Let's start.

                                            VERSE 5

                                       TRANSLATION

It is better to live like a beggar than to kill Teachers, in this world. Even, teachers are greedy and selfish, but they are my superior and everything which we will have, will be tainted with their blood.

                                            PURPORT

In this verse, Arjuna is saying to Krishna again about his respect for his Teachers and Great Grandfather . He has so much respect for his teacher that he is ready to beg like a beggar. So, you can think, how much respect he has in his heart for his teachers.

Where, in today's world, as you can see, Both teachers and students are not sincere in their duty. Sometimes, the Teacher is a careless person and the student is good, then the teacher is not capable to a good student also because he does not know anything and not answering queries of a good student.

Sometimes, the Student is not good and the teacher is serious about his duty. But, the student does not want to gain knowledge. So, Here also, transfer of knowledge will be zero.

Only in one case, where the student is serious and wants to learn from his Teacher and Teacher is also sincere about his duties and wants to tech student properly. Instead of that, the Student should have good faith in his teacher and the Teacher should also maintain faith in the students in him.

So, Arjuna says to Krishna that Begging is better than killing Teachers. So, you can think that Arjuna was right . Yes, Arjuna has great respect for his teacher and that is right, but only in Gurukulas and other places, not on a battlefield.

On the battlefield, there is not value of any relation. On the battlefield, the Enemy is the enemy, whether he is a teacher, Great Grandfather, or any relative. The duty of a Ksatriya is only to fight with his enemy.

Instead of it, Arjuna was saying that he can not kill his teacher, whether the teacher is selfish. So, from that you can guess, how much great Arjuna was. Arjuna knew that his teacher Drona was selfish because there is a story related to it.

when Pandavas and Kauravas finished their education under the guidance of Dronacharya. Then, they were to pay a ‘Gurudakshina ’ that means anything, that a Teacher can ask in return for his education.

Then, Dronacharya had asked Pandavas to win Panchal King Drupada because Dronacharya had a personal animosity with Drupad. Thus, he asked for victory on Drupad to take his revenge. So, It was his selfishness and show off to Draupad that how great, he is.

Here it has been finished. so, we will meet in the next blog.
