Hello friends! How are you? I hope that quite well and doing good in your life.

Today, I am here with Bhagwad Gita - Chapter 2, Verse 3. So, let's start.

                                              VERSE 3

                                         TRANSLATION

O son of Pratha(Kunti ), do not yield to this degrading impotence. It does not become you. Give up such petty weakness of heart and arise, O chastiser of the enemy.

                                             PURPORT

Arjuna was addressed as the “son of Pratha,” who happened to be the sister of Krishna’s father Vasudeva. Therefore Arjuna had a blood relationship with Krishna.

If the son of a ksatriya declines to fight, he is a ksatriya in name only, and if the son of a brahmana acts impiously, he is a brahmana in name only. It means that if a ksatriya and Brahmana did not follow their duty honestly, then they are not able to be called Brahman and ksatriya because they have lost their identity as Brahmana and Ksatriya.

Such ksatriyas and Brahmanas are unworthy sons of their fathers because in the Vedic system, if the father was Brahmana, then his son should also work like Brahmana. He can not work like Ksatriya(warrior) Shudras(servants), and vaishya(Merchants).

So, if a Brahmana and ksatriya do not work according to their duty, It means, they break the rules of family and their Cast; therefore, Krishna did not want Arjuna to become an unworthy son of a ksatriya.

Arjuna was the most intimate friend of Krishna, and Krishna was directly guiding him on the chariot; but in spite of all these credits, if Arjuna abandoned the battle, he would be committing an infamous act; therefore Krishna said that such an attitude in Arjuna did not fit his personality.

Arjuna might argue that he would give up the battle on the grounds of his magnanimous attitude toward the most respectable Bhisma (Arjuna's great grandfather)  and his relatives, who were opposed to him, but Krishna considered that sort of magnanimity not approved by the authority. ‘Authority’ means ‘Vedas and Shastras ’ which were considered as a standard for all societal, spiritual, and any type of system existing in that time, But unfortunately, nowadays 'Vedas ' are remaining for names. Due to the effect of Kaliyuga, all the systems have been diminished. Only a few people are following Vedas. so, there is a need to be followed again Vedic system in order to make a standardized system according to Vedas.

Therefore, such magnanimity or so-called nonviolence should be given up by persons like Arjuna under the direct guidance of Krishna.
