It's been a while, I know.
Welcome to my blog after a quite long break and thank you for reading my previous ones.
The problem that I give up very soon, made me give up on candlemonk too. But the problem that I realise my mistake very soon as well, made be come back.
So, board exams - two words, a lot of tension. I couldn't go out to play badminton, couldn't meet my friends to even talk to them, and we stopped playing games as well. As you might expect, I didn't have any restrictions from my parents. Thankfully my life hadn't much changed unlike my friends' but it is also true that my life much depends on my friends' lives too.
Waking up early in the morning but realising that no one's coming to the door to call your name and then take you to the badminton court with all the arms(racquets and shuttles of course), is what makes me feel like ‘why don't I just escape this painful body?’
But all the cost for what, for board exams? Board exams are just hyped. Practically they are pretty much easier than the normal exams in school and the worse part is, they depend much on the chances you take.
One of my class mates, Sohan(names changed to maintain privacy) is a typical rich dad's son kind of guy. Having an Iphone is a dream for people like us and he carries one around along with his scooty which he has met many accidents with(a fatal one as well). Now, this much proof is enough to know that he doesn't need to study at all and therefore he doesn't and is obviously counted in the backbenchers.
The thing is that he got one of the highest marks in Social Science - "39/40"😱.
Even a blind knows that he didn't deserve the marks but the truth is that he had the marks. That made me think again. I always thought that these exams aren't as important as we are told but this thing made me think even broader. So, this is the condition of most of the people of India.
Hmm, this way of comparing how much literate India is, does look good. But, though it is already so much behind, think about people like Sohan, who are still counted as literate. We can say that he is literate but what is the benefit? How is he going to contribute to the country? Literacy these days is a legal document which students get by clearing exams regardless of whether they actually studied or not.
And yes, a girl who is a topper started crying after losing a few marks in Science. While I feel sorry for her I would also like to ask you to think how stupid it is to shed tears for marks.
That's all for this one. Thank you for reading till the last and consider following.
A meme for you.
