Well, let me introduce myself. Myself Anuj Kumar Patel and I belong to India. The topic, seemingly, not so interesting though has a weird story behind it. So, I am the topper of my class but not because my parents and teachers wanted to. There was a different reason.

I went to class 6th with some normal marks which was usual. But during the year, something tragic happened. My father was transfarred to another city. This again seems to be something normal but it was a disaster for me. I was extremely sad on getting the news. It seemed like losing everything I had, my friends, my school, my home and what not. 

Initially, my father said that the time to go would come soon, but later on I was told that we would go after completing the former class. I was relieved but still sad from inside about it.

Though I knew that we had to go, I was left with half an year to stay there. At that time, a weird thought came to my mind. I thought, “what would happen here after I go? Definetly I was going to miss my friends, but would they even remember me?”. And the answer seemed to be no. No one was even going to remember me, not a single student of my class.

Then I decided something. I knew that I had got that year to complete before going, so I had a few time and the final exams coming. So I decided to leave a last impression on my friends and all the students of my class and the teachers, by getting the first rank in the final exams.

Before going on, let me tell you that earlier I was in another local school which was Hindi medium and the current school was English medium. Since the day I had come to this new school in 1st standard, I had never ever even imagined of getting a first rank, it was almost impossible. But still I just told myself, “Hey, you'll have to do that”.

So, still believing that it was impossible I studied a bit more, hoping to get a 1st rank. I knew it was not going to happen, but what can you do except just to hope. The results were declared. Me and my father went to take the report card. And out of nowhere, the teacher, while handing the card to my father, said something, “Your son is the topper of the class.” What? Oh! Nice joke!

This was what I wanted to say. But I remained quiet knowing that it was true. Still my father said nothing, and neither did I want him to.

So I topped the exams just with the aim of proving myself in front of the class begore leavong the place and students even with high expectations, fail to do it. That day I realised that being the topper of the class didn't actually prove your preparation and knowledge at all. It was just a fake dream which is shown to students by parents and teachers. And in the race to achieve a rank, we forget to learn the lessons of life.

Let me tell you my current situation. I am in 10th standard now and still at the same place🤣. My father was transferred, not me. So he lives there doing his job and me, my brothers and my mother never left the place. since then I have remained the topper in almost all exams effortlessly, knowing the true face of all this due to that one incident that changed my life forever.
