Tilak Babu nevertheless tried with all his heart that trees, animals and nature should not be harmed much.  Sahib Bahadur was convinced of Tilak's talent.  Tilak was awarded the title of Rai Bahadur.  But Tilak Babu, unaffected by the glory of the title, used to work round the clock to make such a technique successful that after the construction of the dam, hundreds of villages were built in the dam.
