Hello people and welcome to another blog of mine and I thank you from the depth of my heart(literally) for reading my previous ones.

Some years back, when I used to be a lot younger than I am now, my parents wanted me to be in the company of quality peers. It seemed a good lecture from parents, but not much later, I was confused about a problem. I thought that if a bad student is suggested to spend time with a good student, wouldn't the good student have to spend time with a bad student? And definitely the parents of that good child wouldn't like it. They too would suggest him to remain in the company of good students. How can it be possible then? And that seemed like a paradox to me.

A subject called ‘Moral Science’ is also taught in our school and therein was a chapter about company of people (Sangati). Through it, we were taught about how people around us have effect on us just like you get the scent of a nice smelling perfume even if you just stand near it. But my crazy mind asked a question, “Wouldn't a bad smelling perfume do the same?” Is it necessary that a bad guy becomes good if he/she spends time with good people. Is it not possible that the good guy himself changes?

There are people who always have effect on others and then there are stubborns who don't change at all. Well, that depends on the individual. It depends on whether the person wants to change or not. Being with good people will change you only if like the change and else you will not like their company at all. But a change is always inevitable. Sometimes people start to like being good once they see good people. But, good things always supress the bad. Wrong things look good at a glance but will always remain wrong. In that sense, people are more likely to change around good rather than bad.

And another problem is that most of the times a person lives in a community itself of a particular kind of thought which makes all the people of that community believe the same thing to be right even if it is wrong for the whole world. This is a case of schools where every single students believes in getting good marks being their life long aim, which it isn't, just because fellow students, their parents and even their teachers tell them so. And apparently, they are not gonna accept it to be wrong at all, no matter who tells them this.

What if no one around you has been good since your birth? You will never know what was right! And that again is a general case of whole India. People in India generally know the wrong for their whole life just because no one is there to tell them the right. And a few people who somehow manage to escape this illusion, seeing the condition of the whole country, flee to some other countries for their development because they know that a person can change no one except themselves and inspire others to change themselves.

Change depends on what you admire and people are generally told in the beinning itself what they should admire and what they admire is being bad. People will never know how wrong is smoking cigarettes and drinking, jealousy of others, running behind marks, trying to show off etc unless a miracle happens.
