Before going into the predictions let us know whom Daniel actually is. Daniel is basically a Jewish man who was captured by the Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. He was named as Belshazzar, which means bel, protect his life. Literally he was wise and was an expert in interpreting the dreams. He was also a faithful man who followed the ethics of his god even when the king of the place forces him to stop it. Both the Jews and the Christians accepts that since he obeyed god’s commands and not done any sin according to his religion, he was wise and the future was revealed to him. He was one of the royal authorities of both the Babylon and the Persian kingdom for a couple of years even he was a slave and do not belong to their origin. Kings believed in him and he was also faithful in his work. He had three friends who prayed and stood with Daniel at tough times. They too were very particular in their religious rules.
There is a famous story of him, which is recorded in both the history and in the bible. Read if interested Once king darius of Persia signed a order that no one should serve any other god except the king himself. The man who disobeys it will be thrown in the lion den. Other person on authorities suggested this because this was an evil political plan to demolish Daniel, as they were jealous of him. As they planned Daniel broke the order and prayed to god. Even though king was not willing to punish Daniel, other authorities forced him. But the lion did not harm him because an angel was in the den and shut the mouth of the lion. Next day the king himself went to the den to know about Daniel and was happy to know that Daniel was alive. Daniel was taken away and instead the king threw all of them who were against Daniel along with their family. The lions caught them even before they reach the ground. The king finally agreed that the god of Daniel was the true God.
Fine lets move to the predictions written in the book of Daniel. To make you believe that the predictions are true, let me take some that actually happened. King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a great tree in which all the birds and animals took shelter, suddenly a man from heaven came and cut down that tree and all the birds and animals went away. When this matter was said to Daniel by the king, Daniel told that due to king’s pride, he will be sent away form his kingdom. He will grew nails and birds like eagle and he will eat grass. Exactly after a year he was drove away from the kingdom by his people. After some years, ask predicted, he became lie an eagle and started to eat grass. Finally his people found him, and he begins to rule the kingdom again. This was not recorded in the history but it mentions that the king was not in his palace for some years and probably this could be the reason.
He also predicted that after the rule of Babylon, the medo-persia will take over the world and it did happened. He also predicted that the Greece will take over by a great king and Daniel actually talked about the alexander the great of the Greece. He also said that after alexander the great, his kingdom will be divided into 4 and he happened as it said. I can hear your mind saying that these are past and it is expecting of something that is going to happen in the future. Before entering into that, let me say how he done these prediction very accurately. Actually he had crazy dream, which was given by god, and the meaning of the dreams were the predictions of the future, which has happened and which are going to happen. Literally I feel that the god who gave the dream and its meaning is greater that Daniel and Daniel himself accepts it in his book
There will raise 10 kingdoms, which will rule over the world under one leadership. He will have Jerusalem as his capital. He will demolish all who are against him. Especially the Christians and the Jews will be against him. After 7 years of his rule, a man with a white linen robe and woolen like hair will come and fight against the man and will defect him. Then he will judge all the man both dead and alive, and he will rule the world forever and ever.
