Plantain – Banana Yummy Recipes

Hello Everyone,

Today in this Blog, I will share the yummy and tastiest Recipes of Sweet Banana and the Raw Banana. Please try the following Recipes and Share your experience in the Comment Section.

Banana Pan Cake: We are going to make the sweet and tasty Banana Pan Cake.

Ingredients:

  1. Ripe Banana – 2 nos.

2.  Baking Powder – 1 tablespoon

3.  Baking Soda – 1/4th teaspoon

4.  Salt – a pinch

5.  Milk – 100 ml (Approx.)

6. Maida (All Purpose Flour) – 150 gm

7. Egg – 2 Nos. (Curd-50 ml for Vegans)

8. Butter/Ghee – 25 gm

9.  Vanilla Essence/Cinnamon Powder – ½ Cap/a pinch

10. Sugar – 100 gm

Preparation Method:

1. Take a mixing bowl and add the Eggs or Curd, room temperature Butter, Sugar, Vanilla essence/Cinnamon powder and milk.

2.  Then beat with a whisk until it has a smooth texture. After that add all the dry ingredients Flour, Salt, Baking powder and Baking soda.

3.  Mix well all the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients by cut and fold method without any lumps.

4.  Then add mashed Bananas or you can blend the banana in a mixer grinder/blender. Mix well.

5.  If the batter is too thick, adding little milk will help to pour the batter in the Pan. Now the batter is ready.

6.  Now heat the Pan and apply a little butter and pour one ladle batter on it. Don’t spread the batter. Just leave and wait 3 minutes.

7.  Then flip over the next side on the tawa to allow cooking       for another 3 minutes.

    8.  Now our tasty Banana Pan Cake is ready. Serve with               honey/maple syrup. Enjoy.

Raw Banana Bajji: Most Indians love to eat this particularly South Indian. In rainy weather one cup of hot Coffee/Tea with Banana Bajji is heaven. Let’s know the recipe of Bajji.

Required items:

  1. Raw Banana/Plantain – 1 No.
  2. Gram flour/Besan – 150 gm
  3. Raw rice flour – 50 gm
  4. Red chili powder – ½ tablespoon
  5. Salt – As required
  6. Water – As required
  7. Asafoetida – 1/4th  teaspoon
  8. Oil – For deep fry

Preparation Method:

First we should peel the hard skin of the Plantain. Don’t peel until the white part shows.

2.  Then sliced the raw Banana with Slicer in thin size and kept aside.

3.  Meanwhile, we heat oil in the deep Kadai (pan) with oil for deep fry.

4.  Now we can make the batter. In a bowl we add gram flour, rice flour, chili powder, asafoetida and salt.

5.  Then pour water little by little into the bowl. Then mix the flour well without lumps. The batter should not be too liquid.

6.  The Bajji batter should be a little thick like dosa batter.

7.   Now take one slice of banana, then tip in the batter and put it in the hot oil. (Oil should be hot)

8.  After 2 minutes flip over and let it cook for another 2 minutes. Repeat the same method for other sliced Plantain too.

9.  Serve hot with coconut chutney. You will love it for sure.
