"Now I am death, the destroyer of worlds."
Introduction
Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" is a biographical film about the "Father of the Atomic Bomb," J. Robert Oppenheimer. It is based on how Robert invented the first atomic bomb and how he was criticised for the crime he didn't commit.
About the director
"Christopher Nolan never disappoints."
If someone asks how the film was, whether it was good or not, just reply "It was Christopher Nolan's film". He was known for his never-failing films. Even though it was a biography, Christopher Nolan's magic played a better game in it. Even though it was not the best film by Christopher Nolan, it is the best film of the year.
About the characters
Cillian Murphy was the main character in the film. He did award-winning acting, which inspires every viewer of the film. I guess he is the best suited for this film, and no one can do this role as well as him. It is a must to appreciate Robert Dowry Jr. for his stunning performance. Emily Blunt, as Kitty Openheimmer, also did a good job as Openheimmer's wife. Matt Damon, as Leslie Groves, was the military leader of the project. He was stout and played a strict and wise role. Even as a military man who doesn't know much about physics, he tried to cope with Oppenheimer. There were many Cameos by great scientists like Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Josh Peck, etc. Overall, all the characters did a beautiful job.
About the film
More than explosions, exposition was more important than action. As I did my 12th grade physics recently, I could understand all the terms in it. But I guess it is a bit difficult for those who find physics hard. The execution of dialogue was very fascinating, and some of it always remains in the heart. The field setup was very good, and all the background gave us a feel of the early 1900s. The climate setup was good, especially the storm before the test, which was excellent. The political scenes were better and less prominent in the film than the scientific ones. But as a child, I hated the political side. The way Oppenheimer cared for his teammate was fabulous. He was responsible for his work.
There were some negatives, according to me, but I do not consider this a criticism. As I said before, there was more talking than action. It was difficult for me to follow up as the movie went on. I later realised that three time periods were going at the same time.
Overall review
I give this film a 4.5. As I said before, some dialogues still remain in our hearts. All scientists played a beautiful role. Especially the last scene where Albert Einstein was talking about what would happen to Oppenheimer later. I felt the dialogue was very true and heartfelt.
