Space and Time always fascinated me .. I always get astonished, shocked , out of words whenever I see videos showcasing how small we really are in this universe .. we can compare ourselves to interatomic particles in comparison to the universe .
Time also is not less fascinating . Being a fan of animes , I have watched tons of time travel animes like Charlotte , Steins ; Gate , Erased , Mirai Nikki (TV) (The Future Diary) (watch it at your own risk as it is quite disturbing )and obviously are all time favorite Doraemon . i always used to think how easily I can achieve anything only I if I had “Control Of Time ”..
By “Control Of Time ” I basically means two things :-
let's leave point one for future (hope you managed to get my pun ) and focus on point second . Time travel leads to a lot of paradoxes one of the most popular is the Grandfather Paradox which is something like this … suppose you get a time machine and you travel to future or past and kill your grandfather ( or your real father's real father) this would result in not your father being born and hence, you and if you were not born then who will kill your grandfather .
I read about this paradox a long time after I was introduced to time travel . I also had a similar type of paradox in my mind .. I call It The Ranker Paradox .
Suppose a UPSC aspirant (remember tvf recent hit ..) gets a time machine he travels in future to get the question paper of UPSC of his year , so that he could top the exam . But the question arises when I am in the future and I check the topper's name of my year will it be me ? And If yes,then what will happen if I decide to not take a peek at the question paper and return empty hand ? Will the the topper's name Change to the second rank ? And If yes what about people who were in future ? Would they be not shocked how all the data changed related to my year of examination because they would have not expected that someone from future may be doing this ? And If you say that just as the name of topper will change so does everyone's memory of the past so no-one would be shocked so let me ask you is this what you really want to say or someone from the future who has travelled to the present making some changes to make you think that ??
