Is Prostitution "Morally" Correct ?

Before answering above question , I would like to clarify that "Morals" are not constant , nor universal . Morals like any other value changes  with time and space .For example :-

  1. For someone eating beef  may be moral while for others it's not. Like it's moral in Pakistan while immoral in India.
  2. Earlier polygamy (having more than one wife), slavery , child marriage , untouchability all were moral , but now they are not .
  3. For me begging may be immoral now but , If I ,somehow,  become financially unstable (as wise men say ."you are always one beat away from breaking") it may become moral for me .

After clearly understanding what "Morally" mean we can begin to answer the question is "Is Prostitution "Morally" Correct ?"

For me its not morally correct . After hearing this blunt answer most of you would argue ,"We didn't ask for your opinion , is it moral for them."

Well of course it is not moral for them also . How would selling one's body for money can be moral for anybody ?

Then Why Do People Do Such Immoral Things?

Nobody wants to do immoral things by their own choice . It's their situations which force people to hang their self-respect and lower their dignity .

For an orphan, poor , young woman who is sole supporter of her siblings , who had no knowledge and no assets to work with. How would she support herself and her family ?

Prostitution is the only way .. isn't it ? Can you think on any other ?

But Is It The Right Way ?

No , of course not .

What If instead of hunger , she died of STD's ? Who would then support her family ?

In a popular anime “Dororo” a small arc is shared of similar prostitute girl as mentioned above .. What happens with her ? She was abused by soldiers of kingdom-A and sometimes was not even paid , sometimes she was thrown naked outside . And when she decided to go to kingdom-B for more earnings .. Her family was brutally tortured and killed in front of her because they suspected her to be a spy of kingdom -B.

What's the relevance of this story here ?

It's to justify how immoral values snatches away everything from you . For a modern prostitute her family may not be killed and but they won't be able to live either . They would never be able to run from the fact that they are child , sibling of a prostitute .

The best man would be the person who went to the taboo town in the event that he could demonstrate his manliness by fulfilling his sexual necessities. Nice article. Follow me if you want to learn how magical life really is and I will follow back. 😊
